Yorktown’s annual wine festival is back this year with beverages from more than a dozen Virginia wineries.

Tickets are now on sale for the Yorktown Wine Festival — The Best of Virginia and Beyond, the county wrote in a news release.

The festival will be Oct. 5 from noon to 6 p.m. and feature live music through much of the afternoon.

Tickets cost $30 when bought in advance and $35 at the gate on the day of the festival, the release said. Tickets allow attendees to have unlimited tastings of more than a dozen Virginia wines, ciders and internationally-featured wines.

“This expanded sampling is an effort to show that Yorktown shares more than just history with its sister cities Zweibrücken [Germany] and Port-Vendres [France],” according to the news release. “In a nod to both countries, ticket holders will be able to sample Rieslings from Germany and indulge in sparkling wine from France.”
