VIRGINIA BEACH — The ViBe Creative District, Virginia Museum of Contemporary Art and Virginia Beach Cultural Affairs Office are planning The People’s Pour, in what organizers tag as the city’s largest paint party.

The event is on Oct. 10. Organizers said it will celebrate National Arts & Humanities Month. The community is invited to create 100 new artworks in one night at the The People’s Pour event, according to a news release from the ViBe Creative District.

Participants don’t need to worry about bringing paint supplies because all materials will be provided at the event. No experience is necessary and all ages welcome. You can take your artwork home with you, too.

The People’s Pour event is free and open to the public and will take place between 5 p.m. and 9 p.m. Oct. 10 at Virginia MOCA, 2200 Parks Ave. – donations are encouraged to support the ViBe Creative District nonprofit, organizers said.

Participants are encouraged to come early or stay late to enjoy, free admission to MOCA’s galleries, art activities, yard games, a cash bar and local cuisine from Prosperity Kitchen & Pantry.

The event is supported in part by the ViBe Creative District’s partners at Virginia Beach Arts, the city and Visit Virginia Beach. Paints have been donated by DecoArt.
