NORFOLK — Visit Norfolk has released a survey to find out what the community wants to see for the city’s tourism industry.

The survey is open until Sept. 13.

The goal is to find out if there are any gaps, key issues and opportunities for potential products, amenities, education, programming and experiences that would benefit the tourism industry in the city, officials said.

Survey participants will be asked to rank the relative importance of various categories relating to destination strength as well as categories relating to community support and engagement.

Those will be followed by a series of questions specific to how well participants think “the destination” is doing in each of those areas.

Officials said that helps identify not only how well Norfolk is performing but whether or not that area is of importance to stakeholders.
