The Norfolk Airport Authority will be hosting a public meeting to present development concepts that are part of the Master Plan Update for the Norfolk International Airport.

That meeting will be on Sept. 12 from 6 to 8 p.m.

The airport’s Master Plan Update accounts for many changes that have taken place at the airport, in the aviation industry and in the Hampton Roads region since the airport’s 2008 Master Plan Update, officials said in a news release.

The meeting will be at the DoubleTree by Hilton Norfolk Airport on 1500 North Military Highway.

This Master Plan will be used to support growth and guide development to meet existing and future needs of airport users, officials said.

During the information session, participants will have an opportunity to review airport development concepts, including potential improvements to the airfield, passenger terminal, parking, air cargo and general aviation facilities.

The information session location is accessible to persons with disabilities.

If you require special assistance, such as sign language, call 757-460-4183, or TTY 711 by Sept. 9.

For those who can’t make the Sept. 12 meeting, they can send input by Oct. 15.

The public meeting presentation and materials will be available on the study website.

The airport wants your feedback on how the updates meet future needs of Norfolk International Airport, officials said.
