A new burger joint is coming to town.
BurgerIM, an Israeli burger franchise company with headquarters in California, is setting up shop near Posh Nails & Spa off George Washington Memorial Highway in York County.
Jeff Nguyen, one of the four franchise owners, said if everything goes well, he hopes to open in mid-September.
The other owners include Nguyen’s wife, Van Chang, his sister, Karen Chang and his brother-in-law Thinh Chang.
“We just wanted to do something different,” he said in terms of opening up the restaurant. “There’s not much food down here.”
Nguyen said the building’s landlord reached out to his sister, Karen Chang, one of the partners and owners of Posh Nails & Spa, about the building, which was supposed to be Aspen Burger.
WYDaily could not confirm that was the same location as Aspen Burger and a phone number listed on the Aspen Burger Company’s Facebook page was not in service.

“We said, yeah we’d give it a shot,” Nguyen said.
Some featured items off the restaurant’s menu include the Hawaiian Salmon burger, the Greek Lamb burger and the Falafel burger for vegetarians.
Hamburger Chang LLC, which was established in last month, filed a business license with York County in April, said Ann Thomas, the county’s commissioner of revenue.
Thomas could not give WYDaily the phone number of the franchise order but a mailing address listed for the new business is located in Newport News.
The BurgerIM location, 8135 George Washington Memorial Highway, Suite G, is currently hiring cashiers, cook and other staff members — those interested should apply at Posh Nails & Spa, next door.
Once the restaurant opens, its hours of operation will be from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. seven days a week.
