Yeong Hong, who co-owns the kitchen with her husband, Steve Oh, said the construction company she hired are from Northern Virginia and it’s possible they are working on other projects.
The food hall will have a soft opening in a month or two, and will include a “coffee shop like Starbucks,” “light food” such as hot and cold sandwiches as well as Korean staples like Bibimbap, a rice dish, Hawaiian poke bowls and fried chicken, Hong said.
In addition, she plans to have gelato ice cream and if possible, other vendors.
Bonanza Social Kitchen, 220 Monticello Ave Unit M, is hiring bartenders, baristas, cooks and cook helpers. Those interested in working at the restaurant can apply in person, send an email to coffeeyo1968@gmail.com or call 703-560-3562.
