Are you really prepared for an emergency? You might to attend this event

NORFOLK — The city’s Department of Emergency Preparedness and Response will be hosting a public safety day Saturday at the Norfolk Premium Outlets.

The free event will be from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Emergency Preparedness officials are encouraging residents and find out ways to make sure they are prepared in any emergency.

The event will promote all-hazards awareness, safety and preparedness, officials said.

Attendees will have the opportunity to interact with public safety officials, utility companies, and insurance organizations.

The following demonstrations and informational opportunities will be made available:

  • First responder equipment show and tell
  • Hands-only CPR demonstrations
  • Carseat inspections
  • An impaired driving simulator
