The Comprehensive Plan is a long-range of goals and initiatives for the physical development of York County through 2040, according to the county’s website. The plan is designed to provide an even mix of residential, commercial and industrial development and to do so based on the existing character of the land.

The Comprehensive plan documents, which will be discussed during the public meetings, provides direction for the future policy makers who will guide policies during long term developments.

Meetings will be:

  • May 30, 5 to 8 p.m., Bruton High School
  • June 5, 5 to 8 p.m., Tabb Library
  • June 6, 5 to 8 p.m., Queens Lake Middle School
  • June 10, 5 to 8 p.m., Yorktown Library

During the meetings there will be large-scale maps depicting land use and roads, but there will be no formal presentations.
