Williamsburg Police are asking for the public’s help in identifying a person who broke into four Richmond Road restaurants and stole cash earlier this week.

Police believe a man wearing all-dark clothing broke into Southern Pancake House, Food for Thought, Kephi and Aberdeen Barn in the 1600 block of Richmond Road on Sunday.

He took an “undisclosed amount of cash” from all of the businesses except Aberdeen Barn, which had nothing reported missing, Williamsburg Police spokesman Master Police Officer Charlie Ericsson said.

Police believe the man has a slim build and is between 5-foot-8 and 5-foot-10.

Police also released a surveillance video from Food for Thought on Facebook Tuesday, which shows a man with his hood up walking quickly through the restaurant with a flashlight in hand.

Here are the businesses and the time frames police believe the break-ins happened:

  • Southern Pancake House- between 12:59 and 1:02 a.m. May 19
  • Food for Thought- around 2 a.m. May 19
  • Kephi- between 1:30 and 2:20 a.m. May 19
  • Aberdeen Barn-  sometime between 11:15 p.m. May 19 and noon on May 20

Those with information on the burglaries should contact Investigator Mark Mahoney at 757-220-2331 or the Crime Line at 888-LOCK-U-UP.
