NORFOLK — The city’s public library’s annual summer reading program has announced its 2019 season theme: It’s Showtime.
The 2019 reading season will kick off with a special event on June 29 at the Horace C. Downing Branch, featuring Joy the Clown who will provide a magic show with a live animal act of a rabbit and a dove.
The free event is the start of the six-week reading program where kids and teens can sign up to read books over summer break and be entered into the grand prize drawing.
The program will run from June 29 to Aug. 10.
