UPDATE May 9, 2019: The Virginia State Police has identified the motorcyclist who died following a two-vehicle crash Wednesday afternoon as Gary Wade Massey, 63, of the 1300 block of Big Bethel Road, Hampton.
Authorities also said the crash happened on Lakeside Drive, east of Ashley Avenue, York County.
At approximately 2:41 p.m., the driver of a 2013 Lexus, Susan D. Sarro, was exiting Ashley Avenue and turned into the path of a 2007 Harley Davidson motorcycle ridden by Massey. The motorcycle was traveling westbound on Lakeside Drive when it was struck, causing the motorcycle to run off the roadway into a fence, state police said.
Massey was taken to Riverside Regional Medical Center where he later died.
Sarro, 75, of Curtis Lane, Hampton, was charged with reckless driving, state police said.

Authorities are investigating a two-vehicle crash involving a motorcycle in York County Wednesday afternoon that left a person dead.
At approximately 2:41 p.m. state troopers were dispatched to the intersection of Lakeside Drive and Showalter Road, said Virginia State Police spokeswoman Sgt. Michelle Anaya.
State police’s investigation and reconstruction teams are on scene and VDOT is setting up detours.
