Here’s how to avoid waiting in line at the DMV

VIRGINA BEACH – AAA Tidewater Virginia will be hosting DMV’s mobile customer service center, called DMV Connect on Monday, April 22 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

It will be at 5366 Virginia Beach Blvd. in Virginia Beach.

This special off-site DMV team provides all DMV services except vital records and testing., according to AAA.

DMV transactions available including:

  • Apply for or renew your ID card – available for adults and children.
  • Apply for or renew your driver’s license – get your picture taken.
  • Reinstate driving privileges.
  • Applying for a Real ID card.
  • Apply for a Veteran ID card.
  • Obtain vehicle titles, license plates, decals, transcripts.
  • Order disabled parking placards or plates.
  • Get fishing and hunting licenses.
  • Update your mailing address, voter registration address, and organ donor status.
  • Purchase an E-ZPass transponder.

The DMV Connect will operate inside the AAA Corporate Center branch. Services are open to AAA members and non-members alike.
