Part of the Virginia Capital Trail will temporarily close Tuesday for maintenance.

The Virginia Department of Transportation announced the maintenance in a news release Monday.

Crews will be doing tree work between Jamestown High School and Route 614/Greensprings Road.

The trail will be closed from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Those using the trail should plan for the closure, and should use an alternate route, VDOT wrote in the release.
