NORFOLK — The city is hosting an event for small business owners to learn about the resources available to them as they start building their new companies.

The event is on April 24 and will run from 9 a.m. to noon at the Slover Library.

It will have a wide variety of resources and information available for small business owners to learn about as they’re working toward opening their businesses in the city.

The keynote speaker will be Rudolph Artis, CEO/founder of Influance Hair Care.

Small business owners will get a chance to enjoy a catered event with a seminar for local business start ups to learn about the first steps in starting their own business.

The seminar includes an introduction of the three part BIZ Cafe event, which includes an opportunity to win grant money during its pitch competition.

There will also be opportunities to connect with city staff who can assist small business owners with starting a business.
