On May 1, pet owners can bring “man’s best friend” to a select leash-free area at Jamestown Beach Event Park.

On March 12, the Board of Supervisors amended the code so county parks could establish off-leash areas for dogs, and agreed on a five-month trial program at Jamestown Beach Event Park.

This trial program ends in October.
