VIRGINIA BEACH – A police sergeant here is facing some serious allegations.
Lonnie Cain II, 39, was arrested Wednesday. He is charged with one count of misdemeanor stalking and two counts of trespassing.
Police did not release much about the arrest of one of their own, saying only the allegations happened between March and the first part of April this year.
“Cain has been with the Virginia Beach Police Department for 11 years and was assigned to the Operations Division, Uniform Patrol,” Tonya Pierce, police spokeswoman, wrote in a news release. “He will remain on administrative assignment pending the outcome of the criminal and administrative investigations.”
The case is being investigated by the police department’s Office of Internal Affairs and the Detective Bureau.
