NEWPORT NEWS — A woman was arrested on Monday for allegedly sexually assaulting a juvenile, police said.

Lynn Cline, 43, is charged with one count of carnal knowledge, two counts of sexual penetration, three counts of indecent liberties and four counts of sexual battery, authorities said.

Police said they received a sexual assault complaint in June 2018 and the victim was a juvenile when the alleged assault occurred.

Authorities said Cline’s arrest is the “result of an ongoing investigation” regarding the recent arrest of Robert Jones, 46 a police officer from the North Precinct.

Police said both suspects knew the victim.
