Norfolk police detective allegedly stalked woman

NORFOLK – A police detective here was placed on administrative leave following his arrest Wednesday afternoon.

Francis Bodner, 50, is charged with stalking, possession of stolen property and computer trespassing. He has worked for the department since 2005, police officials said.

On Tuesday, police said “a woman who is known to Bordner,” told detectives Bodner “stole her property and that he was stalking her.”

Bodner was released on a $1,000 bond. He has been relieved of duty pending the outcome of the criminal trial and administrative investigation, officials said.
