VIRGINIA BEACH – Police are releasing very few details about the arrest of a former officer.
Mark David Johnson, 48, was arrested Wednesday by detectives from the department’s Special Victims Unit.
He is charged with one count of sodomy of a minor.
Authorities said Johnson and the minor “are known to each other.”
He was a Virginia Beach Police officer for 20 years. Johnson left the department in 2017.
