VIRGINIA BEACH — As part of Lynnhaven River Now’s Discover Virginia Beach Program, there will be a guided 3-mile hike through First Landing State Park.

The dog-friendly hike is on Saturday from 9 to 11 a.m.

The morning will include information about keeping waterways clean and your dog safe, according to Lynnhaven River Now.

While the park is dog-friendly, park officials ask that the dogs be kept on a leash no longer than six feet and kept under supervision while in the park.

They also recommend bringing proof of rabies vaccinations for all pets.

Hikers will meet at the Trail Center, on the south side of Shore Drive at 9 a.m.

Registration is required at Office@LRNow.org or 757-962-5398.
