If you’re looking for a job on the Southside, keep an eye out for these upcoming career fairs.
Reliant Hiring Solutions is hosting a job fair from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Murray Center in Norfolk, according to Reliant Hiring’s website. The job fair is free to attend for job seekers.
Those who wish to attend can register online, but walk-ins are also welcome. The job fair’s organizers suggest attendees bring their resumes and “take this opportunity to meet with many employers who are ready to hire.”
Dozens of regional employers and jobs counseling and training organizations will be in attendance.
According to Reliant Hosting’s website, “based on past participation, hundreds of positions are available” at the job fair, ranging from administrative assistants and tech support jobs, to security officers, law enforcement, and retail positions. Tidewater Community College in Virginia Beach is hosting the Spring 2019 Customer Service and Hospitality Career Fair on Thursday, according to the college’s website. The career fair will take place from noon to 3 p.m. in room K-204, on the second floor of the college’s student center.
The event is free and open to the public, but non-students will have to stop by the security desk at the entrances of the student center to check in with staff. The college suggests wearing “appropriate interview attire” and to “bring multiple copies of your resume.”
Parking is free at the college, and more than two dozen employers from the hospitality and customer service industries will attend the event. Examples of employers attending include:
