Drivers on the Colonial Parkway will have to keep an eye out for changes in their route the next few weeks.
The National Park Service, which operates the parkway, will be closing down various ramps at Newport Avenue beginning Feb. 20. Ramps will be closed to seal the joints in the concrete pavement, according to the City of Williamsburg.
On Feb. 20-21, the northbound ramp on the Lodge side will be closed.
The southbound ramp, on the Bicentennial Park side, will be closed Feb. 25-26.
There will be signed detours in place for both ramps along the parkway and on Newport Avenue.
Poor weather conditions could cause the work to be delayed or rescheduled so drivers should monitor the city’s social media for updates.
