Do you know what’s closed on Presidents’ Day in Hampton and Newport News?

In case you didn’t know, Presidents’ Day is Monday, Feb. 18, which means some places will be closed.

Here’s a list of what is closed in Hampton and Newport News.

Hampton

  • City offices
  • City libraries
  • City schools
  • City courts
  • Yard waste
  • Garbage collection/ street sweeping – delayed two days, make-up day is Feb. 20
  • Hampton History Museum, Air Power Park and other community administrative offices
  • Charles Taylor Visual Arts Center

Newport News

  • City offices
  • City libraries
  • City schools
  • City courts
  • Garbage, recycling and bulk waste collections – all collections delayed one day
  • Recovery Operations Center (i.e., landfill)
