Yet another Virginia Beach restaurant included in this ‘select’ group

VIRGINIA BEACH — A local restaurant has received AAA’s Four Diamond rating, making it the third restaurant in the city to earn the honor.

The Cavalier’s Becca is part of a select group of establishments within North America — currently, just 656 restaurants throughout the United States, Canada, Mexico and the Caribbean hold the AAA Four Diamond Rating, according to AAA.

And think about this: Only 2 percent of the nearly 32,000 restaurants inspected by AAA annually receive that rating.

“We are honored to have another addition to the AAA Four Diamond restaurants in Virginia Beach,” said Georjeane Blumling, vice president of Public Affairs for AAA Tidewater Virginia. “These restaurants are committed to exceeding guest expectations and providing a premier dining experience.”

Restaurants at this level offer a distinctive fine-dining experience and attentive service, according to AAA. Menu offerings are distinguished by highly creative chefs using top-quality ingredients and an upscale ambience.

“AAA is pleased to recognize Becca as a Four Diamond restaurant,” said Michael Petrone, director of AAA Inspections & Diamond Ratings. “To uphold the exceptional standards required to attain this rating is an outstanding achievement. AAA Four Diamond restaurants go above and beyond, delivering memorable dining experiences.”

AAA Four Diamond Rating restaurants in Hampton Roads include:

  • Becca since 2018 in Virginia Beach
  • Salacia since 2006 in Virginia Beach
  • Zoe’s since 2015 in Virginia Beach
  • Fat Canary since 2004 in Williamsburg
  • Rockefeller Room since 2017 in Williamsburg

For more than 80 years, AAA has used professional inspectors to conduct in-person property evaluations. AAA offers the only rating system using comprehensive, on-site professional hotel and restaurant inspections guided by member priorities, according to the association.
