VIRGINIA BEACH — Southside Daily has partnered with the city’s police department and the Virginia Beach Crime Solvers to raise awareness about persons of interest in the city.
Crime Solvers is a nonprofit organization that accepts completely anonymous tips from residents about criminal activity. Information from tipsters is shared with police, but remains completely anonymous — no identifying information of sources is ever disclosed and the anonymity of tipsters is protected by state law.
Authorities are asking anyone with information about any of these people to contact Virginia Beach Crime Solvers.
Tipsters could also be eligible for a cash reward up to $1,000 if their information leads to an arrest.
Here’s this week’s list:
On Jan. 2, the man pictured above went to Walmart at the Salem Crossing Shopping Center. He loaded up a shopping cart with three comforter sets and a “Bed in a Bag” set and then pushed the cart straight out of the store without paying, police said. The same man attempted to steal a slow cooker, two deep fryers, and a reciprocal saw on Aug. 11, 2018 but Loss Prevention stopped the cart from leaving the store with the suspect. Another theft happened Nov. 23, 2018, when the same suspect stole two Shark vacuums and two king sized comforter sets, police said.
On Jan. 12, the man pictured above stole a 32-inch Sanyo television from the Walmart at Salem Crossing, police said.
On Nov. 27, 2018, a person parked his truck on Pavilion Drive in Virginia Beach. The next morning the truck was gone, police said. The driver realized his wallet was in the truck and discovered that his credit card had been used at several locations: 7-Eleven stores on Diamond Springs Road, Pleasure House Road, Shore Drive, Red Tide Road, and Azalea Garden Road in Norfolk and a McDonald’s at 3736 Virginia Beach Blvd. The two men pictured above were captured on video using the stolen credit card, police said. The person’s truck, a white 2015 Chevy Silverado, has not been found. Evidence left behind suggests a passenger window was broken out to gain entry, police said.

On Jan. 3, police said the man pictured above stole men’s thermal pants and socks from the Kohl’s store at Pembroke Mall. When confronted by the store’s Loss Prevention outside of the store, the suspect ran across the Constitution Drive toward the Panera.
