Studying criminal justice? You could qualify for this scholarship

NEWPORT NEWS — The Sheriff’s Office is offering two Virginia Sheriff’s Institute scholarships to students pursuing criminal justice or law enforcement in Virginia.

Students must be enrolled for 2019-2020 year and the deadline is May 1. Apply here.

According to the NNSO’s announcement, the sheriff’s office will choose one full-time student and one part-time student who meet the application requirements including proof of Virginia residency. Visit the VSI website for more details.

The full-time student will receive $1,000 and one part-time student will receive $500.
