Listen to survivors of human trafficking at this free event

NEWPORT NEWS — The City-Wide Student Council Association of Newport News Public Schools will host a human trafficking awareness event at Warwick High School on Saturday.

The event is free and lunch is included. Register here.

According to NNPS’s announcement, the event features presentations from survivors of human trafficking, state lawmakers and local law enforcement in addition to interactive workshops geared toward high school students and adults.

Del. Mike Mullin is also expected to attend.

The Linking with Our Community Against Human Trafficking: A Community Symposium for Students and their Families event is at Warwick High School, 51 Copeland Lane on Saturday, Jan. 26 from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.
