VIRGINIA BEACH — AAA Tidewater Virginia is offering a TSA Pre-Enrollment pop-up event the first week of February, and it’s open to the public.
Enrolling in TSA Precheck can help expedite the security screening process, which means less wait time in airport security lines.
According to a November 2018 survey from AAA, 93 percent of passengers who participated in the program spent less than five minutes waiting in line.
Travelers that chose TSA Precheck didn’t need to remove shoes, laptops, 3-1-1 liquids, belts or light jackets.
The event will take place at AAA Corporate Center in Virginia Beach Feb. 4 through Feb. 8, 8:30 a.m. to noon and 1 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.
A five-year TSA Precheck enrollment costs $85.
Schedule an appointment at the TSA website and enter the required information followed by entering Virginia Beach as the city. Then select “AAA Pop Up Event.” Lastly, move to the bottom of the page and click ‘next’ to create an appointment.
