Don’t bother going to this museum Monday. It’s closed

NEWPORT NEWS — The Mariners Museum and Park is closed starting Monday.

According to the its Facebook page, the museum will close for staff training and routine maintenance for one week.

The Noland Trail and Park will remain open to the public.

The museum, 100 Museum Drive, will reopen and resume normal operating hours on Jan. 12.

The Mariners’ Museum and Park is open Monday to Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday from 11 a.m to 5 p.m. Admission is $1 and children under three are free.
