How many people got arrested for DUI on New Year’s across the Peninsula?

Check out the following data of DUI arrests from local police departments across the Peninsula. These numbers are from New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day on 2017-2018 and 2018-2019.

This year, James City County is the only department with zero DUI arrests on New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day. Newport News had the most DUI arrests. Williamsburg, Yorktown, Poquoson and Hampton each had one DUI arrest on either New Year’s Eve or New Year’s Day.

Last year, Newport News, Williamsburg and Yorktown and Poquoson had no DUI arrests on both New Year’s Eve and New Years Day. Hampton and James City County arrested two people on New Year’s Day or New Year’s Eve.
