This city will give nonprofits money for youth violence prevention programs

HAMPTON — Nonprofit organizations can apply for the city’s Youth Violence Prevention Mini Grant Program until Feb. 12.

To be eligible, the nonprofit must be a 501(c)(3) organization and not affiliated with political or religious groups. Apply here.

According to the city’s announcement, nonprofits can receive up to $20,000 for the programs which must address trauma, conflict resolution, employment preparation, re-entry into society and improving outcomes for black males. Read more about the grant criteria here.

The city has awarded grants to various organizations including grassroots, community-based and neighborhood groups since 2012.
