Upper York County man found shot to death

York-Poquoson Sheriff’s authorities said a 20-year-old man was found shot to death inside his home Sunday morning, and an investigation is underway.

The man was identified as William Mason Worthington.

Sheriff’s deputies were sent to the 1000 block of Wilkins Drive at 12:34 a.m. after dispatchers received a call “of someone who had been shot,” authorities said.

There, they found Worthington, “who resided at this location,” dead from a gunshot wound.

Further details about the incident were not immediately released.

Authorities are asking anyone who may have information about the incident to call the Crime Line at  888-LOCK-U-UP or the York-Poquoson Sheriff’s Office tip line at 757-890-4999.
