Interested in nonprofit management? Classes start next month

The Nonprofit Management Institute is offering courses at the Thomas Nelson Workforce Center starting mid-January.

Each class costs $75 for NetworkPeninsula members and $85 for the general public, and there are limited training funds available.

According to the NetworkPeninsula’s announcement, the institute is a joint program by NetworkPeninsula and Thomas Nelson Community College where students will learn management, leadership and development skills, including tips on working effectively and fundraising strategies from field experts.

The classes meet once a month for 10 months and each class, worth .5 Continuing Education Units or CEUs, can be used toward a certificate program. Read more about the certificate programs here.

The Nonprofit Management Institute classes meet at the Thomas Nelson Workforce Center, 4135 Ironbound Road. The first class starts on Jan. 18 from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Registration closes a week prior to each class date and is capped at 35 students. For more information, visit the NetworkPeninsula website.
