Here’s what’s closed for the holidays

As families gather around the Christmas tree next week, various government and county offices will be empty for the holiday.

James City County

  • County offices, CLOSED Monday and Tuesday.
  • James City County Recreation Center, CLOSED Monday and Tuesday.
  • Abram Frink Jr. Community Center, CLOSED Monday and Tuesday.
  • Freedom Park store and office, OPEN Monday from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m., CLOSED Tuesday.
  • Chickahominy Riverfront Park store and office, CLOSED Monday and Tuesday.
  • James City County Marina store and office, CLOSED Monday and Tuesday.
  • Little Creek Reservoir Park store and office, CLOSED Monday and Tuesday.
  • Convenience Centers, OPEN Monday, CLOSED Tuesday.
  • Garbage transfer station, OPEN Monday from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m., CLOSED Tuesday
  • Curbside Recycling, Blue week, one day delay.
  • Libraries, CLOSED Sunday through Tuesday
  • Williamsburg-James City County Courthouse, CLOSED Monday and Tuesday

All county parks will remain open.

York County

  • York County Offices, CLOSED Monday and Tuesday
  • York County Courthouse, CLOSED Monday and Tuesday
  • York County Public Library, CLOSED Monday and Tuesday
  • York-Poquoson Social Services, CLOSED Monday and Tuesday
  • Waste Management Center Administrative Offices, CLOSED Monday and Tuesday
  • VPPSA Compost Facility, OPEN until 1 p.m. on Monday, CLOSED Tuesday.

There will be no waste management operations or collections on Tuesday.

Curbside garbage and recycling is moved from Tuesday to Wednesday and Wednesday collection is moved to Thursday.

Williamsburg

  • Municipal building, CLOSED Monday and Tuesday.
  • Waller Mill Park, CLOSED Monday and Tuesday
  • Quarterpath Recreation Center and Administration Offices, CLOSED Monday and Tuesday.
  • Leaf collection, no collection on Monday and Tuesday.
  • Williamsburg Regional Library, CLOSED Sunday, Monday and Tuesday.

Trash collection will run on a regular schedule on Monday. There will be no pick up on Tuesday. Tuesday’s pickup schedule will be moved to Wednesday.
