If you were looking to pick up some gifts at Williamsburg’s 2nd Sundays event this weekend, you’re going to have to look somewhere else.

The last 2nd Sunday of the year has been canceled, according to a post on Facebook from the organization on Friday.

“Miserably cold…breezy forecast doesn’t spell success for an outdoor festival in December in Williamsburg, VA,” the organization said on their website.

On Sunday, Williamsburg is predicted to have light snow in the evening, according to the National Weather Service in Wakefield.

Williamsburg 2nd Sundays is an event of on the second Sunday of each month from March to December that features various local artists, musicians and vendors. This Sunday was the last event planned for the year.

But the organization plans to come back for it’s ninth season.

“We’ll see all of our patrons, artisans, performing artists & musicians in Spring of 2019!”
