Interested in having a say about our natural landscapes and resources? Here’s how

VIRGINIA BEACH — Virginia is preparing for its upcoming General Assembly session and Lynnhaven River NOW wants to help inform Hampton Roads residents of what’s in store for the natural landscapes and resources in Virginia in 2019.

In partnership with Virginia Conservation Network, Lynnhaven River NOW will be hosting a General Assembly Preview at Virginia Wesleyan University in the Greer Environmental Sciences Center on Dec. 1.

Those who attend will get the chance to learn about the conservation community’s priorities and they will get to participate in a regional conversation about how to can work together to advance environmental policies in the upcoming legislative session, according to LRN.

Traditionally, this event has taken place only in Richmond but in order to better accommodate Hampton Roads residents, LRN’s hosting this watch party in Virginia Beach.

All attendees will have the opportunity to ask questions of the panelists and to participate in the regional strategy conversation, according to LRN.

Coffee and breakfast will be served, and all attendees will receive a copy of the 2019 Environmental Briefing Book.

Tickets are $15, register here.
