NORFOLK — As part of the six-week Holidays in the City season, Selden Market, located at 208 E. Main St., has a packed holiday calendar with new pop-ups, events and activities from Nov. 17 to Dec. 23.
The Selden Holiday Market kicks off Saturday during the Grand Illumination parade with new pop-ups, the 4th Annual Great Hot Cocoa War, a spectacular ornament outlet and extended hours until 7:30 p.m.
The holiday market will include more than 100 rotating shops and pop-ups featuring unique gifts from amazing small businesses including toys, jewelry, apparel, art, home goods, and more.
Pop-up businesses will change every weekend, so be sure to visit throughout the season to see what’s new.
The market’s holiday hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Wednesday through Saturday and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday.
Admission is free.

- 4th Annual Great Hot Cocoa War featuring multiple participants inside the market and throughout Downtown on Nov. 17.
- Deck the Halls: Pop-up Ornament Outlet supporting The Virginia Zoo and Selden Market featuring thousands of unique and fun glass ornaments by Inge Heirlooms on Nov. 17, 18, 23, 24 and 25.
- Small Business Saturday at Selden Market Nov. 24, 10 a.m. to 6 pm with giveaways, over 20 pop-ups, treats and entertainment.
- Selden Market Holiday Party Dec. 1, 8 p.m. to 10 p.m., bring your loved ones for a festive evening of cocktails, dancing, complimentary hors d’oeuvres and a very special nighttime market experience.
- FlickIt! Fridays: Dawn of the Dead Dec. 7, 6 p.m. to midnight. Don’t let the holidays turn you into a zombie. Themed experiences and shopping at Selden Market followed by a zombie bike ride to the Naro Theater for a fun-filled viewing of Dawn of the Dead with door prizes from Selden Market shops and drinks supporting the market.
- Vintage Sunday at Selden Market – Holiday Edition Dec. 9, 11a.m. to 5 p.m., a Selden Market favorite returns with a day of 20+ vintage vendors featuring clothing, accessories and home decor. Find truly one-of-a-kind gifts or retro holiday attire.
- Design(er) Festival Dec. 15, 10 a.m., a holiday gift market celebrating Virginia designers geared towards the streetwear, skate, and graphic design communities
- Workshops and activities for children and adults like cookie decorating, ornament making and more.
- Festive food and drinks from Vessel Coffee, Slide Thru #FAM, S’mores Amore, Doughminion Donuts, Seafoam Cotton Candy and various pop-ups
- Live holiday music and caroling.
