VIRGINIA BEACH — Southside Daily has partnered with the city’s police department and the Virginia Beach Crime Solvers to raise awareness about persons of interest in the city.
Crime Solvers is a nonprofit organization that accepts completely anonymous tips from residents about criminal activity. Information from tipsters is shared with police, but remains completely anonymous — no identifying information of sources is ever disclosed and the anonymity of tipsters is protected by state law.
Authorities are asking anyone with information about any of these people to contact Virginia Beach Crime Solvers.
Tipsters could also be eligible for a cash reward up to $1,000 if their information leads to an arrest.
Here’s this week’s list:
On Jan. 25, 2017, the man pictured above walked into the Best Buy store on Independence Boulevard, placed a Google Home Bluetooth Speaker in his pocket, and walked out of the store without paying, police said. A loss prevention employee confronted the suspect outside of the store, and told the suspect that police were on the way. The suspect then pulled out a handgun and told the employee to go away, police said. The suspect left in an older model light green car with faded paint and rust spots. He was described as being about 6-foot-2 and having a deep voice.
On Sept. 27, 2017, the man pictured above attempted to rob the BB&T on Newtown Road, police said. He approached a teller with a note demanding money, police said. When the teller did not comply with the demand, the suspect ran from the bank.
On Jan. 16, 2017, the man pictured above was captured on video, entering the victim’s apartment on Breakers Court through the rear sliding door, police said. He stole an Apple iPad Mini and several bottles of liquor and left back through the sliding door, police said.
On June 1, 2017, police said two suspects entered a home on Gadwall Place, through a front window, while the residents were sleeping. As the suspects searched downstairs, one suspect saw a camera and the two then left the home. One suspect was holding a handgun during the burglary, police said.
On Jan. 25, 2017, the man and woman pictured above entered a home on East Plantation Road through a window. Police said the suspects stole a handgun, a rifle, two watches, and a car title from the home. A witness believes the suspects were driving a silver SUV.
