Be a kid again with adult outdoor camp in James City County

James City County Parks and Recreation is giving residents the chance to unleash their inner child at the Be a Kid Again Camp.

Campers will have the chance to participate in activities from hiking to biking to kayaking through the county parks, according to the county’s website.

The camp schedule is as follows:

  • Day 1: Hiking in Freedom Park.
  • Days 2-3: Kayaking on Powhatan Creek and group bike ride along the Virginia Capitol Trail.
  • Day 4: Jamestown Discovery boat tour.

The camp will be offered from 9 a.m. to noon Oct. 8-11 at the James City County marina, 2054 Jamestown Road.

The camp costs $65 for James City County and Williamsburg residents, $70 for non-residents. The fee includes bike, kayak and boat rentals.

Participants can register online or at any Parks and Recreation payment location.
