The Navy’s MH-60 Sea Hawk helicopters were recalled to Naval Station Norfolk, where they will be better postured to provide land-based rotary wing Defense Support of Civil Authorities if required in the aftermath of Hurricane Florence.

The helicopters left the USS Abraham Lincoln (CVN 72) in the Atlantic Ocean on Saturday. The Lincoln remains underway after Commander, U.S. Fleet Forces Command ordered all Navy ships in the Hampton Roads area to sortie on Sept. 10, ahead of the storm.
