UPDATE at 12:01 p.m., Friday: In response to Governor Northam’s decision to lift the mandatory evacuation of Zone A, the City of Norfolk will move to consolidate, and close city shelters according to this schedule:
- Crossroads Elementary & Southside STEM Academy will close at 1 p.m. Friday.
- Bayview Community Center & Norview High School will close at 10 a.m. Saturday.
Parking Garages:
- ODU: Residents should remove vehicles by 8 a.m. Monday.
- City: Residents should remove vehicles by 9 a.m. Monday.

NORFOLK — The city will close shelters at Crossroads Elementary School and the Southside STEM Academy at Campostella at 1 p.m.
Evacuees in those shelters will be taken to the shelters at Norview High School and Bayview Community Center.
Officials said there were 213 guests and three pets in shelters at 6 a.m. Thursday.
