Verizon Wireless is saying “We’ve Got Your Back” to all their customers on the southeast coast in the path of Hurricane Florence.
With Florence forecast to hit the eastern shore by late Thursday night or Friday morning, Verizon said in a news release they are already committed to provide free calling, texting and data to its postpaid and prepaid customers who reside in the areas most impacted by the storm.
“As residents prepare for Hurricane Florence, waiting out long lines at grocery stores and supply stores, or even evacuating, the last thing they want to worry about is billing overages. This is just one way we can help residents as this potentially dangerous storm challenges the Southeast coast,” said Russ Preite, president, Southeast Market for Verizon Wireless.
More information on the Verizon hurricane assistance will be provided as the storm progresses and its impact is able to be assessed.
Additionally, as part of the company’s ongoing commitment to those on the front lines of public safety, Verizon recently announced that speed caps restrictions have been lifted for first responders in North Carolina, South Carolina and Virginia.
