Anyone who donates $17 to Troopster Donations by Sept. 15 will get some free flight time at iFly Virginia Beach.
Troopster, a Norfolk-based and veteran-owned business that provides personalized care packages to deployed members of the United States military, is also holding a packing event at iFly on Sept. 23.
“I love being able to help the men and women who are deployed overseas,” said Chelsea Mandello, founder and CEO of Troopster. “I want to make it possible for everyone to give back to our troops.”
What better way to do it she said, than by saying “thank you” with a care package.
Mandello spent seven years as a photojournalist in the Navy.

For everyone who donates, iFly will provide a minute of free flight time in its 52-foot tall indoor skydiving wind tunnel, which features four 350-horsepower fans that generate wind speeds of up to 160 mph.
For those who are interested in donating or simply volunteering to help put together the care packages, information and tickets can be found online.
The Sept. 23 event runs from 2-5 p.m. at iFly Virginia Beach, 2412 Pacific Ave.
