A Williamsburg woman has won nearly $180,000 after buying a scratch ticket from a James City County 7-Eleven earlier this month.
Jenna Dattilio, a local bookkeeper, won $177,777 while playing the state lottery’s scratch game, “7,” the Virginia lottery said in a news release Wednesday.
When Dattilio scratched the winning numbers and won the top prize, her initial reaction was disbelief.
“There’s no way,” she said, according to the news release. “I didn’t believe it.”
Dattilio said she has no immediate plan for her newfound money.
The winning ticket was bought at a 7-Eleven store at 5534 Centerville Road in James City County, the release said.
Dattilio claimed the fourth and final top prize from “7,” meaning the game is now closed.
The chances of winning a top prize through the game were 1 in 1,040,400. The chances of winning any prize were 1 in 4.19.
