VIRGINIA BEACH — A man suffered what police here described as “life-threatening injuries” following a stabbing Tuesday night.
Information on the man’s identity and his current condition was not immediately released, but police said they have arrested a juvenile male in connection with the incident.
Police said a “verbal dispute” at around 8:20 p.m. inside a home in the 600 block of Baker Road quickly escalated into a physical altercation between the juvenile and the man.
“During the altercation, both males suffered knife related injuries,” police said in a news release.
The juvenile fled the scene and was later apprehended by officers near his home. The man was taken to the hospital.
The juvenile, police said, was also taken to the hospital where he was treated for minor injuries.
He was later taken to the Juvenile Detention Center and charged with aggravated malicious wounding.
