York County to host series of patriotic outdoor concerts this month

Families and civilians can head down to Riverwalk Landing for a series of patriotic concerts every Tuesday this month.

Beginning Aug. 7, York County will host a live concert every Tuesday in August from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at the Riverwalk Landing, York County said in a news release.

The four-week concert lineup is scheduled with a different band every week including:

  • Aug. 7, The U.S. Fleet Forces “Four Star Edition” Band
  • Aug. 14, The Top Hats Orchestra
    Aug. 21, U.S. Coast Guard Training Center Yorktown Ceremonial Band
  • Aug. 28, Royal Atlantic Band

Guests are encouraged to bring lawn chairs, blankets and coolers to set up in front of the performance stage beside the Yorktown Freight Shed.

There will be free parking available at the Riverwalk Landing parking terrace, York Hall, York-Poquoson Courthouse, County Administration Building and various other public lots.
