The Tribe is taking over Nationals Park.
Tuesday (Aug. 7) will be William & Mary Day at Nationals Park in Washington, according to the Washington Nationals baseball team.
A block of seats in the outfield will be reserved for W&M students, alumni, faculty and staff, said Claire De Lisle, communications manager for W&M’s University Marketing and Advancement Communications.
Tribe fans will be able to cheer on the Nationals as they take on the Atlanta Braves, and W&M-themed events will be held before and during the game.
A tailgate party for W&M guests will be held behind home plate before first pitch. W&M alumni will also be a part of the Nationals’ lineup tunnel and give the players high fives as they take the field.
W&M’s griffin will even get in on the action and sprint against the Nationals’ four mascots, each former U.S. presidents.
The first 1,500 fans to order tickets will receive co-branded W&M and Washington Nationals baseball caps.
Tickets can be ordered on the Washington Nationals’ website. To book tickets for parties of 13 or more or to learn more about the promotion, call 202-640-7723 or email john.manzoian@nationals.com.
The promotion is part of the Nationals’ College Day Series, which highlights 10 colleges throughout the area.
Tuesday is a double-header for the Nationals. W&M College Day is the second game of the day and begins at 7:05 p.m.
