NORFOLK — The Virginia Zoo’s annual Breakfast with the Animals returns on Aug. 11 – from 8 to 10 am.
This once members-only event is now open to the public – a chance to visit the zoo before it opens and learn more about the animals.
After a breakfast buffet, visitors can explore the zoo and watch more than 20 animals eat their breakfast – a variety of fruits and vegetables, according to a news release from the zoo.
Zoo volunteers will trail host at exhibits to dish out interesting facts about various animals’ diets, behavior and personalities.
Visitors can also meet interesting animal ambassadors, take a ride on the Zoo Train and enjoy the bounce houses and a meet-and-greet from Tango the Tiger.
Tickets for members are $15 for adults (12+) and $10 for children (5-11).
Tickets for non-members are $25 for adults (12+) and $15 for children (5-11). All children under 5 are $5. The cost includes all-day admission to the zoo.
