NORFOLK — Police here are investigating a Sunday night shooting that left a girl dead.
The shooting took place shortly after 11 p.m. in the 400 block of West 28th Street.
Police were called out to the scene where they found the girl. She was taken to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital where she was pronounced dead.
Authorities said the girl was a rising high school junior. Monday night police announced in a tweet they have arrested a suspect.
