There’s going to be some work on these roads, so plan your trip accordingly

VIRGINIA BEACH — The city’s Public Utilities will be conducting utility work on multiple roads.

Parliament Drive

Starting at 8 p.m. on Thursday, July 12, utility work will affect traffic on a section of Parliament Drive. This project is expected to be completed by 6 a.m. on Friday, July 13, weather permitting.

Parliament Drive will be temporarily closed between Green Kemp Road and South Lowther Drive. Signs will be posted advising motorists of the utility work and detour routes. Area residents will have access to their properties at all times, officials said in a news release.

Lynnhaven Parkway

Starting at 9 p.m. on Thursday, July 12, utility work will affect traffic on Lynnhaven Parkway at the intersection of Kings Arms Drive. This project will take place nightly between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m. and is expected to be completed by 5 a.m. on Sunday, July 15, weather permitting.

Lynnhaven Parkway will be reduced to one lane in each direction. Signs will be posted advising motorists of the utility work. Area residents will have access to their properties at all times.
